NEET UG 2025 Counselling: NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is an entrance exam for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BHMS, BUMS, Nursing, and other undergraduate medical courses in India.
The NTA (National Testing Agency) is the concern body for conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. The NEET examination is conducted annually by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD, the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
As per Section 14(Act, 2019) for admission to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions, the National Eligibility-cum- Entrance Test by the NMC (National Medical Commission) has to be conducted as a common and uniform test by the NEET (UG).
About MCC: NEET UG 2025 Counselling
The MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) is the authorized counseling body responsible for NEET 2025 Counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee was constituted and approved by the Secretary of the Government of India and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counseling for 100% Deemed Universities, Central Universities, 15% All India Quota (AIQ), i.e., Banaras Hindu University, Delhi University, and Aligarh Muslim University, including Domicile quota/institutional.

Eligibility: NEET UG 2025 Counselling
According to NTA (National Testing Agency), the eligibility criteria for NEET 2025 Counselling are mentioned below:-
- She/He must have qualified for NEET-UG 2025.
- The candidate’s age must be at least minimum 17 years.
- She/He must have passed +2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English as core subjects with 55% of total marks.
- Class 12th Students are also eligible to appear in the NEET UG 2025 Test and NEET UG 2025 Counselling.
Step-By-Step Process: NEET UG 2025 Counselling
Step 1: Registration: NEET UG 2025 Counselling
1. Online Registration: Visit the official website https://neet.nta.nic.in, register with a phone number and email, and get the NEET UG 2025 Counselling specifications.
2. Payment of Registration Fee: Pay the counseling registration fee online (via Debit/Credit card, UPI, or net banking).

Step 2: Choice Filling and Locking for NEET UG 2025 Counselling
Students log in to their account and choose the colleges and courses in order of preference, and choose multiple options based on their NEET UG 2025 rank and eligibility criteria of colleges.
After selecting your preferred options, lock your choices within the specified time frame. Choices cannot be altered once locked.
Step 3: Seat Allotment for NEET UG 2025 Counselling
NEET UG based on your rank, choices filled, and availability of seats, the counseling authority will conduct multiple rounds of seat allotment. if you have been allotted a seat, You can download the provisional allotment letter.
Step 4: Reporting to the Allotted College
Candidates need to physically report to the allotted college within the specified dates along with the necessary original documents and photocopies for verification and they carry documents such as NEET UG admit card, rank card, counseling registration form, identity proof, etc. After verification, pay the admission fee to confirm your seat.
Step 5: Second Round of Counseling (if applicable)
If Candidates are not allotted seats in the first round and if seats remain vacant after the first round, subsequent rounds of counseling may be conducted. They can participate in these rounds and may need to fill in fresh choices for subsequent rounds based on updated seat availability and their preferences.
Step 6: Mop-Up Round Counseling
Across all categories, any remaining vacant seats is conducted to fill the mop-up round of counseling. Eligible candidates who haven’t secured a seat in previous rounds can participate.
