The admission process for MBBS Admission Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital Delhi 2026 is entirely through NEET UG scores followed by centralised counselling.

Step 1 — Appear and Qualify in NEET UG 2026

NEET UG 2026 was conducted on June 21, 2026 (after being initially cancelled due to paper leak and rescheduled). Your NEET UG score and All India Rank (AIR) are the sole basis for MBBS seat allocation at BSAMCH.

Step 2 — Check Eligibility Against NEET Cutoff

After NEET results, check if your score meets the BSAMCH cutoff. If you are close to the cutoff range, remain hopeful — cutoffs change across counselling rounds, and seats become available through the dynamic allocation process.

Step 3 — Register for MCC / Delhi State Counselling

Visit the official website of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Upload the documents. Pay the application fee and submit the application form

Depending on whether you are applying for:

  • All India Quota (AIQ — 15% of seats): Register on MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) portal at mcc.nic.in
  • Delhi State Quota (85% of seats): Register on Delhi State Health Department’s counselling portal

Both counselling processes use NEET scores, but have separate merit lists, cutoffs, and rounds.

Step 4 — Fill and Lock Preferences

Candidates should fill in BSAMCH as their first choice for admissions. Admissions are available in the Delhi State Quota and All India Quota. Carefully fill your college and course preferences. For BSAMCH, if MBBS is your target, select it. You can also list other Delhi medical colleges as backup options. 

Step 5 — Attend Counselling Rounds

Both MCC and Delhi State conduct multiple counselling rounds (typically Round 1, 2, 3, and Mop-Up). In each round:

  • Seats are allotted based on merit rank, category, preferences, and seat availability
  • You must respond to your allotment within a stipulated time
  • You can choose to accept, upgrade, or decline

Step 6 — Document Verification

Once selected, candidates should pay the fee and report to the college for document verification. Physical reporting to BSAMCH is mandatory. Bring original documents and photocopies for verification.

Step 7 — Pay Admission Fee

Complete fee payment through the prescribed method to confirm your seat. Seats not confirmed through fee payment within the deadline are cancelled, and the vacant seat is offered to the next candidate on the waitlist.

Step 8 — Enrolment and Orientation

After fee payment, you are officially enrolled. The college conducts orientation sessions, hostel allotment (if applicable), and other administrative formalities before the academic session begins.
