The system is entirely transparent and based strictly on merit. There are no management quotas ,no NRI quotas.and no back-door admissions.Every single seat goes to the candidate who earned it through their JEE Main score.

Step 1 — Qualify JEE Main 2026
Appear in JEE Main 2026 Paper I (for B.Tech) or Paper II (for B.Arch). Your JEE Main All India Rank (CRL) is the primary basis for seat allotment at DTU, NSUT, IGDTUW, and DSEU. For IIIT-Delhi, your JEE Main percentile plus bonus points forms the merit list.
Step 2 — Register on JAC Delhi Portal
To participate in JAC Delhi counselling, candidates have to register with their JEE Main application number and password on the official portal at jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in. Registration is open from May 28, 2026 to June 9, 2026.
Step 3 — Pay the Registration Fee
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹1,500 through online payment modes such as credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI, or other payment options available on the portal. Applications submitted without successful fee payment will not be considered for counselling
Step 4 — Fill and Lock Choices for JAC Delhi Counselling 2026
Fill your institute and branch preferences in order of priority. Fill maximum preferences during registration to maximise chances. The choice-filling window closes on June 9, 2026 at 11:30 PM. Lock your choices before the deadline — unlocked choices are not considered for seat allotment.
Step 5 — Seat Allotment (Round-wise) for JAC Delhi Counselling 2026
For DTU, NSUT, and IGDTUW, seats are allocated purely on the basis of CRL (Common Rank List) rankings in JEE Main 2026, along with category, region, eligibility, and choices filled by the candidates.
There are five regular rounds of seat allotment. After each round, candidates must log in to their profile and respond within the stipulated time. There will be five rounds of JAC Delhi counselling 2026, followed by one upgrade round.

Withdraw — Decline the seat and exit counselling. Withdraw your admission only through the official portal to get a refund (before the stipulated deadline).
Step 7 — Pay Seat Acceptance Fee for JAC Delhi Counselling 2026
After accepting a seat, pay the seat acceptance fee online within the stipulated time. This fee is partially refundable if the candidate withdraws within the deadline
Step 8 — Physical Reporting at the Institute

Step 9 — Upgradation Round for JAC Delhi Counselling 2026
After all five regular rounds, an Upgradation Round takes place where candidates already admitted can get their branch or institute upgraded automatically based on their previously filled choices, if higher-preference seats become available.
