Seat Allocation: for Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology Admission 2026-27

Seats are divided into two primary pathways. It is important to note that merit is the only way in—there are no “backdoor” entries.

1. GGSIPU Centralised Counselling (90% of Seats)

The vast majority of seats are filled through the official university counselling process.

  • Basis: Your JEE Main Rank.
  • Process: You must register on the GGSIPU portal and participate in online choice filling.

2. Management Quota (10% of Seats)

A small portion of seats is reserved for direct institutional admission.

  • Basis: Your Class XII Aggregate Marks (PCM percentage).

 Additional Reserved Categories

Beyond the general seats, the university follows government mandates to ensure diversity:

  • SC/ST/OBC: Reserved as per Delhi Government and GGSIPU norms (usually requires a Delhi-issued category certificate).
  • Female Quota: “Supernumerary” seats are additional spots created specifically to encourage women in engineering, meaning they don’t eat into the general seat count.

Pro Tip: If you reside in Delhi and completed your schooling (11th and 12th) here, you qualify for the 85% Delhi Region Reservation, which significantly lowers the cutoff compared to Outside Delhi candidates.
