VITEEE 2026 is the entrance exam conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology for admission into courses offered by VIT group of Institutions (VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT AP, VIT Bhopal). VIT is one of the most renowned Universities in India which emerged as a pioneer in higher education.
Application last date has been extended till 12 April 2026. Although the registration of VITEEE 2026 IS started from 24 October. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE 2026) application fee is Rs. 1,350 /- (Non-Refundable). The Exam Date for VITEEE 2026 is conducted between 28th April, 2026 and 3rd May, 2026 (Tentatively) at designated centres across pan India and abroad. STEP BY STEP APPLICATION PROCESS FOR VITEEE 2026
Step 1: New Registration:
- Candidates who want to apply for VITEEE 2026 they have required a valid e-mail address and active mobile number and enter all personal details carefully
- Candidates must ensure that the mobile number they are using is his/her own number they should not use another person’s mobile number because the communication will be forwarded to that number only.For verification an OTP will be sent to register mobile number after validation a password will be sent to the register email address.
- For NRI candidate the OTP will be sent to the registered e-mail ID
- All the correspondence shall be made to the registered email address and mobile number only
Step 2: Sign-in for Registered Users
- After completing the registration process , candidates can login to VITEEE 2026 admission portal using Valid e-mail address and active mobile number are required.
Step 3: Filling online application form
- Once candidates login to VITEEE 2026 admission portal they must read the declaration and acknowledge the same before beginning the application form. In case of any details mis-match in the application form and submission of documents at the time of Application/ counselling/ Admission, the candidature will be rejected and fee will be forfeited.
- Candidates must fill the form carefully to avoid the mistake. After filling initial details An Application Number will be generated. Refer this application number in all your future correspondence.
Step 4: Payment
- Application fee Rs.1350 should be paid through Net Banking / Credit Card/ Debit Card/Paytm.
- For an abroad examination center the fee to be paid is USD 90 equivalent in INR.
- Application fee is non-refundable.
Step 5: Photo and Signature Upload
- The photograph should have been taken against a light background. Only White/off-white background is preferred.
- The photograph should show the full-frontal view without tilting the face, both ears visible, open eyes with neutral expression.
- The file size of the photograph should be within 20 kB to 300 kB. The file should be only in JPEG format.
- The photograph dimension should be Width (300 to 400 pixels) X Height (400 to 550 pixels).
- The photograph should not be too dark or too bright but should have optimum exposure. The photograph should have only one face.
Signature uploading procedure:
- Please draw a rectangular box of size 6 cm (width) X 2 cm (height) on A4 white paper. Sign with dark blue or black pen within the box.
- Scan the signature in (.jpeg) format using a scanner and crop the image.
- You can open the scanned signature image with MS Paint and crop the image at the particular rectangular box which was already marked and signed on the A4 white paper. While cropping the image make sure that the dimension should be 3.5 cm (width) X 1.5 cm (height).
- The scanned signature image size should be within 5 kB to 150 kB.
Step 6: Download filled-in application form
- Candidates must Download and save the filled-in application for future references and correspondence.
- Candidates do not need to send a hard copy of the filled-in application form to VIT.
VITEEE 2026 exam pattern and syllabus

Online Test Booking System (OTBS) For VITEEE 2026
- Online Test booking system is a web based online scheduling system and will be available at (www.vit.ac.in). Through this system candidates can select their preferred test city, date, and session.time slot
- Candidates must choose the same test city that they had selected while filling out the application form. The booking of slots operates on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on the availability of the selected date and time.
- Once the test city is chosen, it cannot be modified by the student within the Online Test Booking System.
Online Test Booking Password
- The password has been sent to the registered email address,the email address provided in the application from.
- VIT is not responsible for any failure to receive the email,if the email address given is incomplete or incorrect or unsubscribed or delivery to spam / junk folder
- The security of your Online Test Booking Password is your responsibility.The VIT will not be held responsible for any issues arising from it.
- The Online Test Booking Password must be kept confidential. Do not share it with anyone else.
- The Online Test Booking password is used only to schedule your VITEEE 2026 test as assigned by the institute. Please be aware that once the booking deadline has passed, candidates will no longer be able to reserve a test slot through the system.
Online Test Booking Procedure for VITEEE 2026
- Once the VITEEE 2026 test slot has been booked, it cannot be modified. Requests to change the test city, date, time slot, and subject will not be accepted under any circumstances.
- The OTBS portal will be open in the second week of April, 2026 (Tentatively).
- The application fee is non-refundable. if candidates are unable to book a slot or absent from the test.
- The confirmation mail is sent to the candidate’s registered email address automatically after he/she has booked his / her schedule through the Online Test Booking System.
VITEEE 2026: ADMIT CARD
e-Admit Card
- The VITEEE 2026 e-admit card can be downloaded in 48 hours prior to the booked exam schedule.
- The VITEEE 2026 E-Admit card has mentioned the application number, photograph of the student, address of the test centre, test date and time selected by the candidate. If any mismatch, must be brought to the notice of VIT immediately.
- The copy of the VITEEE 2026 e-Admit card can be downloaded from OTBS portal (VIT official) and will also be emailed to the candidate.
- Candidates will not be permitted to appear for the test without a valid VITEEE 2026 Admit card.
- Candidates must report at the Examination Centre, at least 2 hours before the commencement of the examination.
- If a candidate is unable to appear on the scheduled date of the test for any reason, a re-test shall not be held by VIT under any circumstances.
VITEEE 2026: Result
- VITEEE 2026 A rank list will be prepared based on the percentile secured by the candidate.
- VITEEE 2026 Result published with extreme care, there is no provision for re-ranking and re- totalling,Neither VITEEE 2026 raw score of the candidate nor the photocopies of the answer sheets will be provided. Correspondence in this regard will not be entertained.
- VITEEE 2026 has the Normalization Procedure based on Percentile Scores.
Counselling Procedure for VITEEE 2026
- VITEEE 2026 passed candidates can participate in the counseling process and the counseling fee is Rs 5900/- which is non refundable.
- Admission is based on the rank achieved in the Computer Based Test (CBT) of VITEEE 2026.
- Candidates who qualify can take part in online counselling according to their rank, where they can choose their preferred campus, programme, and fee category. Seat allotment depends on rank, preferences, and seat availability during counselling.
- To download the provisional admission letter after paying the tuition fee, candidates must upload their higher secondary examination hall ticket.
- The institute will verify eligibility after the tuition fee is paid. Candidates must present the required documents at the time of reporting to the campus or whenever requested by the Admissions Office. The provisional admission remains valid only if all eligibility criteria are satisfied.
- The counselling process is common for all institutions under VIT and will be conducted in five phases. Details such as rank, schedule, and choice filling will be available on the counselling portal. Candidates who miss their assigned phase can participate in later phases based on their rank, but only for the seats available at that time.
- During counselling, candidates can select their preferred campus, programme, and fee category. Final allotment is based on VITEEE rank, and once the fee is paid online after confirming the seat, the provisional admission letter will be accessible on the portal.
